We will appreciate your donations and/or your time in support of our initiatives in the coming months while we continue in our efforts to promote mental health and recovery. Join by paying a yearly membership fee today!
You are welcome to pay by checks or cash, or you may pay through our membership form on our website! We accept all major credit cards as well as donations by phone, mail, or in person.
We are reaching out to you in hopes you will become a member and support Mental Health America in Montgomery (MHA-M) as we seek to revitalize our membership network and keep our programs going—the Psychosocial Clubhouse program, Operation Santa Claus, and Outreach/Education—in these unusual times. I hope you will take time to view our new website, http://mha-montgomery.org/, to get an update on what we have been doing and planning.
Due to a variety of circumstances, including a gradual decrease in the level of giving to charity, we have had a gradual decrease in funding from our main funding sources. We have had to curtail many of our activities temporarily. We are currently working toward raising the level of MHA-M’s support for our programs and are asking for your help.
I have personally been a member of MHA-M for many years, as have many of you, and I recall the days when we had many members and volunteers, an adequate budget, and several major events such as the Gala, the Auction, and the Golf Tournament. I am in hopes that we can work toward a return to that level of involvement and activity in service of our purpose to promote mental health and support those with mental illness.
On behalf of the Board and staff, I am requesting that you complete the form and become a member of Mental Health America in Montgomery so that we can grow our membership and involvement in the community. Please join at the highest level that you can to help us to keep our programs going, to serve more people with mental illness, and to promote mental health in our community.
Thank you very sincerely from the MHA-M Board of Directors,
Charlene Roberson, President
